Leaving On A Jet Plane

On the morning of July 10th, we boarded our last flight in China before heading home. This time we would be traveling back to Hong Kong to finish out the program. We took one last morning walk down to the Bund.

On the way to the airport, we passed the World Expo grounds as well as the new aquatic center where the World Championships in swimming are going on right now.

We had a safe flight into Hong Kong. If you look closely at this picture, you can see a boat in the background. That is how close the runway is the the water!

This is the world's largest shipping container port. Imagine all those products we use from China getting to us. That is a lot of shipping!

We walked to dinner so we were able to get a sneak peek at Hong Kong. We actually stayed in Kowloon which is across the harbor from the island of Hong Kong.

I loved this sign! One thing that I can not stand about China is all the coughing, hawking luggies and spitting on the sidewalks. I was happy to see that the people in Hong Kong shared my concern.
